Reads like a YA novel with a lead female MC that lacks too much  (if any) true intelligence which makes it frustrating to read her POV at times. Demon male MCs “dark” energy does not translate well on to the page, dialogue between the MCs borders on being cringeworthy, and the female MCs friends are the worst. A story with a unique idea, but unsavory execution that fails to hold the reader’s attention with lore that seems to barely have any bones.
