Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon
3.0
I can't believe I'm writing this, but this book was a solid 3.5 stars at most.
I LOVE Kenyon and all her books, but this particular book is more an amalgamation of little scenes that take place in between other books and you need to be fully up to speed on everything that's happened on all three series to get what's going on.
Yes, it's the love story of star-crossed lovers Fang and Aimee, but it's told in flashes as time and a whole lot of events pass by outside of the pages and in-between chapters.
I'm familiar with all the events that get hinted at in this book and I still found myself annoyed that the reader is expected to be familiar with major plot points to fully enjoy and understand the events that unfold. And some major revelations and plot points happen here. It's an important read. However, it left me feeling a bit let down as the story of Fang and Aimee. We get their reactions to events from other books and a parts of their story, but not a coherently fluid plot. These two characters deserved something dedicated completely to them.
