Close up photographs challenge the reader to decide if the picture is the butt or the face of a creature. The following page shows a bigger picture of the animal/insect. and gives information about it. This would be great done as a warm up activity, an activity for discussion with partners, a way to get kids to focus on little details. Geography/biomes/habitat would be good connections as well.
