Ok we're through it! Much in the vein of Winter's Heart, I struggled to complete Crossroads of Twilight. Telling the stories of characters who were less featured in the previous entry, Crossroads of Twilight sadly preserves a lot of what I disliked about Winter's Heart, the plodding nature of character arcs that seem to not find an ending, while also not referencing the groundbreaking event that marks Winter's Heart's conclusion.
Despite these faults, the last third of Crossroads of Twilight reminded me of some of the earlier works in this series. While the conclusion of this book is not at a level comparable to many others in The Wheel of Time, Jordan finally seems to be establishing some momentum into the next entry.
