I was interested enough to finish The Accident but it never really sparked anything. The twists were formulaic, the characters were mostly dull and (although some of the situations were truly horrible and/or life threatening) it never made my heart beat faster. I was never on the edge of my seat, desperate to know what happened and when the twists came it was more 'of course it was' than 'what?! No?!'

Plot twists can be addictive but I feel like I've read a lot of the same ones over and over and over. Come on literature, stun me
