I want to pester everyone I know to read this book.
Why? Well, *clears throat*
For starters, the representation in this book is everything. This is the diversity I want to see in the media I consume. Then, we can also name how Kacen Callender managed to touch a little bit on (almost) every important topic that any gender/sexuality questioning teen (or human) has or has had. And they do it so seemingly effortlessly. The fact that despite not relating to every struggle that Felix has gone through, I felt so seen by this book (on the topic of labels, etc.).
One of the most important aspects of the book for me is the fact that Felix is far from perfect. Don't get me wrong, literature is full of flawed characters, but for some reason, I tend to see queer people represented in a pedestal when it comes to always knowing the right terms, labels or the way they act within the LGBTQ+ community. It feels refreshing to have a character that just isn't perfect in that sense, I guess.

Anyway, I hope that anyone who can relate to Felix find solace in this book. And whoever doesn't relate, I hope you can learn something from this book. God, don't I wish this book existed when I was younger!
