The line between justice and vengeance is put to the test in this second installment of the Avery Keene series. Abrams weaves a suspenseful, high stakes fiction tale that parallels quite a bit with our current reality.
The author’s attention to detail, and character building does an exceptional job at crafting a story that will keep you on your toes.

I’ve always enjoyed stories with characters that thrive in the gray area. Neither bad, nor good but with a tangible humanity that draws you in. Not sure whether it was Abrams intent to craft an antagonist, the readers may find themselves rooting for (like I did), however Hayden Burgess arc and storyline was heartbreakingly good to watch unfold. An expat that once served this country and sought justice through the proper channels goes rogue after being denied the opportunity to plead her case on multiple fronts. What is one to do when a country you thought valued you, leaves you out to dry? Hayden’s story is one that too many folks can relate to.

A country with systems designed to fail those that need its protection is in for a rude awakening when those wronged start seeking justice on their own terms. Rogue Justice is a medium-paced novel that will challenge the reader on multiple fronts, but ultimately does a solid job of enlightening the reader while appealing to the humanity in us all through exceptionally layered, storytelling.
