I thought that I was just going to give this book 3 stars but the last six or so chapters were incredible. I don't understand the people who say that the writing has left something to desire because I personally liked it. The characters were great and overall a great book. 

I did read most of this book while in Menton (close to Nice) while my mum read the second and then the third which was very nice. The places being described I could imagine so vividly because I've been to all of the real ones before. 

I just thought that it was very witty, written well, and generally great.
