I loved this even more on my re-read for my in-person book club. The theme of forgiveness that ran throughout the story was such a wonderful backdrop to the beautiful love that developed between Cassie and The Rookie. We all also appreciated the way that living well super-ceded getting revenge against those that harmed her in the past. Cassie is such a kick-butt female character, and we loved her and her journey.
