I am not a fan of fantasy elements in my books, but Stephen King always knows how to keep me interested. This book is not as good as the second but way better than the first. It’s honestly Hodges and Gibney that bring the series down for me; they’re not that charismatic. The powers Brady develops is interesting and it was interesting to see how the main cast would figure out how he was committing the murders. Brady isn’t the most interesting villain either but he served his purpose.
I listened to this book on Libby and Will Patton’s performance is what dragged me through the three books. He truly brings the cast to life and is what made this trilogy so captivating. If I had read these books I probably wouldn’t have made it this far.
