Beauty and the Villain by V.F. Mason
4.0
When I first started reading this book, I didn't realise it was linked to pervious characters from this author and found it slow to get myself into it. Once I got my head around it, I sank into this twisted re-telling of beauty and the beast. Rush was spurred on by revenge but using aileen became more than a sick game to lure out her father. It became a battle their hearts. She was sweet and trusting. Also wanting to see the good in others, which became her downfall as almost everyone in her life had mislead her in one way or another. Aileen gains courage towards the end, but will it bring her demise or will the two men that love her the most work together and save her, before ending each other? Who knows but I can't wait to find out. I love this author's work. It is very dark and best check for triggers before reading, but we'll worth the read.
