This book grabs you by the imagination and does not let go!  Zarya and the crew are back and in fine form.  I love the camaraderie and found family vibes between Zarya, Yasin et al.  The banter and insults fly thick and fast between them but when someone threatens one of them, they'll all plot your death!

Zarya is really coming into her own.  Learning to be independent, to trust her instincts and fight for what she wants and what she knows is right.  She's learning it's ok to ask for help and that that help can be found in the most unlikely places.  We have to navigate new territory, new foes, family politics and a small revolution!!

I loved learning more about the ways in which the various factions controlled others.  The rebellion in Gi'ana really felt a bit "Oceans 11" heist at times and I'm here for that! It was nice to see Yas get a bit of a HFN too!

A gloriously detailed and descriptive world to get lost in with characters of all hues of the rainbow, genders and sexual orientation.  The mythology is so rich and I really want to read more books that aren't based in "Western" mythology worlds.  The South Eastern Asia mythology vibes really transport you to another plane!  Now I've got to wait for the next book!
