Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies by J.K. Rowling

5.0

A welcome side volume in the Wizarding World

It is extremely convenient to have these articles all in one place on my Kindle. This saves the trouble of having to search Pottermore for them, which was more difficult under the old site than it is now.

The stories provided a bit of insight into some beloved characters, all of which was welcome if a bit sadder than I expected. J.K. Rowling loves these characters, whatever some might say about her continuing to write about them, and I am thankful that she shares them with us.

My favorite part was about Professor Kettleburn, the Care of Magical Creatures teacher before Hagrid. While not often mentioned, his piece was amusing and spoke of a teacher that was well liked by the students and staff at the school, giving as much insight into their tolerance of eccentric teachers as not.
