This was such a sweet story and everything just keep happening I could not put it down until I finished it. This was very annoying when I had to go to work. Also I want to thank HarperCollinsUK for sending me a physical arc.
But about the book:
This book was a breeze to read. This book is described as a cottage core fantasy book and it truly is. I would not call it a cozy fantasy because they're some definite high stakes at least for our main character Clara. Which makes this book a good read because you can feel the way Clara feels about her own wild magic, which i must say is described very well and even at sometimes (even most times) feels like it own character. But even though i felt that Clara's magic was it's own character you can also tell how much Clara doubts her own magic.
Her relationship with her old best friend Xavier is written so good with just enough guess work on the part of the reader that until you are more along in the book makes sense.
The way the motives and history of Xavier and his relationship with Clara is revealed is truly good part of the storytelling. I have felt i could kind of like Xavier, punch him, ignore him and then want to hug him tells me enough about his character that i needed to know.
If you want to pick up this book I would recommend not to read it on a day you have plans because ones you get into the story you will not want to put it down.
