A Heart for Christmas by Sophie Jomain

First, I loved the idea of an advent book and thought it was very unique. This is why even though I didn't really like it, i wanted to see this book through.

Unfortunately I found the writing to be clunky, the characters too surface level and while I did like Augustin I didn't feel any chemistry with him and April. I understand that the characters are young (20 and under) but to me they just read too childish. I've read lots of YA books that have had deep characterization and unfortunately this book didn't have that (part of this could be because of the writing and translation).

Overall this was a great concept with a poor execution.
