Catching up on writing my reviews for books I read a while ago. Haha... *nervous sweats*
From what I've seen, I'm most likely in the minority here. I thought this was just okay. Like a solid 3 star read.
I can't exactly pinpoint why this didn't work for me, but for some reason, this didn't have the same magic the other 3 had, even though this utilizes one of my favorite romance tropes, friends-with-benefits. I think it partially has to do with the fact that I didn't enjoy Rye's perspective most of the time. Not because I disagreed with his actions or what he says, but because of how he was written.
And I'm actually a little disappointed since we waited around 3 years for its release. There was a ton of build-up in the other books for Rye and Brenna's story as well.
