How can so much beauty come with so much bleakness?

A slow cozy read that takes a minute to hook you but then absorbs you like a warm blanket on a frigid day. I felt myself quietly falling in love with these characters and anxious to see what happened to them next amidst the encroaching frost. This is a quietly profound novel. I can’t wait for another book by this author!
