Aesop's Fables by Aesop

4.0

Maybe slightly overhype as a book. This small book as over 200 fables in it, that's a lot, maybe too much, I understand they want to put them all in but some are a bit repetitive in their story and moral, and some are clearly empty. Of course some, even the vast majority are good, educative and well done. Some of the most notorious are know by all, at least in part, but we never new necessarily were they came from. I like that they were very short, concise, straight to the point, so we get strong life lesson in a few sentences, which I think might be more easy to get into for young reader then the Lafontaine fables which are a bit wordy. A good book, totally worth reading, just don't expect all the 200 to be masterclass fables.
