What a delight! This whole series was just so fun and well-written, containing relevant and palatable critiques of class hierarchies and human rights issues. Overall, I was very impressed by the third book in the trilogy. El is, as always, deliciously conflicted, observant, matter-of-fact, and perceptive. She has an unmovable moral compass that makes her both lovable and infuriating.

In comparison to other fantasy novels, I love how the magic in this book is a character in and of itself, both predictable and unpredictable at the same time. I also liked how the world building occurs in small doses throughout the text rather than just the beginning, which in my opinion creates a better and easier understanding for the reader.
