I haven't read too many Salvadoran American writers so I was really enjoyed reading this collection of stories that centered on Salvadoran/Central American experiences. Like with many short story collections, there were stories that I enjoyed more than others and this also had some sci-fi/fantasy/speculative elements to it and that didn't always work for me. “Variations on Your Migrant Life” was a standout for me - it had a "choose your own adventure" format and that's when I switched from audiobook to print copy.  Strong debut collection, looking forward to reading more from this author!
