Another action-packed read in the Soulbound series full of magic, myths and gods.

Content warnings include: kidnapping, sex on-page, violence, mentions of human trafficking.

This time around Patrick and Jono are dealing with all sorts of more and less known fae and the various myths and legends around them.

The plot was solid, even if it felt more like a filler than the previous books and not all of the things that happened came to a satisfying conclusion. But Hailey Turner once more managed to keep the tensions and suspense high at all times of the story so that it was never boring and I always needed to know what happens next.

As always, I loved the big cast of reoccuring characters. Especially Wade was great - I loved that he is always treated like the teenager he is, and there are no discussions about how he is "legally an adult" or whatever. Nadine also made a return, which I was super happy about since I adore her!

The focus was less on the federal agencies and police work stuffs this time and really most of the happenings revolved around all things fae. As someone who has no previous knowledge about this subject I would have liked more elaborations about who the gods and people of legends were, as well as their roles and relationships, but the book still read very well and it wasn't too confusing.

The found family thematic already brough up in previous books only solidified in this one, and other overarching plots were advanced. I had a great time reading A Crowing of Iron & Silver and I'm looking forward to the sequels!

I received an ARC and reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
