The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
5.0
This book has earned a place in my top 10 books ever. Kudos to Mr. Turton, for writing something so unique and original! I haven't read anything quite like this. In reading over some of the other reviews, I read some that said it dragged a little in the middle. I am not sure exactly what those reviewers are referring to as I found it a very fast paced book. Sure there were some frustrating aspects to the storyline, but overall I think it was an enhancement to the plot. The many characters were all well fleshed out, many very likable and some not so. There are a few that it wasn't easy to say goodbye to. The Blackheath House was a character in itself. Overall this was a very unique and enjoyable book. I really loved the book jacket and design of the first few pages and how he introduced the cast of characters. This is Stuart Turton's debut, and with a book like this, we will hopefully be seeing much more from him!
