The final book in the Mafia Misfit series highlighted MoniqueMs strength in crafting intimacy and balancing that with  action sequences. However, in comparison to the first 3 installment it left much to be desired despite being a relatively easy read that can hold the reader’s attention.

Sinful Enforcer felt rushed and seemed to be another attempt at a trope that Monique has tried previously with another couple. Throughout the series it seems as though a formula starting getting used after the third book thus intentionally crafting  unique storyline for each couple seemed to no longer be a property.

The edge, ambition, tenderness, pacing and passion, that was effortlessly executed in the beginning of this series started to wane. Hopefully this is just a sign of the author being ready to move on to the next creative stage, rather than it being a sign that her writing growth is at a hault.  Sinful Enforcer is an exceptional palette cleanser,  but an anticlimactic end to what started off an incredible series.
