Laini Taylor can do no wrong. The way she weaves together stories is absolutely brilliant, she is a true storyteller.
This was an amazing duology.
I love how there was no true villian, we are dealing with broken characters, characters with trauma and real flaws. We get to see both sides to the story and understand that it's not black and white.
This book made me cry. She really knows how to pull at the heartstrings.
The world building was phenomenal. The little Easter eggs to daughter of smoke and bone were subtle but so beautifully done.
I have no criticism. She is a master storyteller and I felt so immersed in her world. I didn't want it to end.
