This was more of a character based book i would say, rather than a plot based one, so it would be expected to be a little bored at times. The problem is I was bored many times throughout this book, especially after the 60% mark where i had to force myself to continue reading, it did pick up again a few chapters later, but then again…bored. I was literally bored reading the epilogue, counting the pages until the end.
I did like the dynamic between the two main characters very much. the problem was I was feeling like a lot of their scenes together were doing nothing to move us further into the book. We didn’t actually get any growth from their relationship i think, they decided in the earlier chapters that they are obsessed with each other, and then the whole book was about her brother finding out and them not being public, none of their problems actually had anything to do with their feelings for eachother or their actual connection , just how her brother would be affected and her reputation in the motorsport world. It all felt very monotonous.
