The Referral Program by Shamara Ray

2.75

Three friends start a program where they each refer great men in their lives for the other women to date. This started off cute and I liked that this meant a variety of dates, men etc. Because they were working off of a list, you can’t initially predict who the matches will be. It was a quick, light read - which I really needed when I started.

But if I’d realized how much I’d end up disliking after the 60ish% mark, I would have DNFed.

Conversations with men that felt inauthentic and repetitive.

A communication failure between the friends that didn’t make sense for mature women in their mid-thirties who have been best friends since college.

And what I’ll remember most - but don’t want to at all- are terms like “dew covered blossom” “heavenly garden” and “silky panty-covered kitty” in the sex scenes.🙅🏽‍♀️
