All the Wrong Places by Joy Fielding

I’ve seen a lot of remarks about this one surrounding false advertisement and could not agree more. While the book isn’t bad, it definitely doesn’t live up to the ‘suspense thriller’ it claims to be and is very anticlimactic. A shame as the plot and character potential were there but the juxtaposition of the premise and the chick-lit vibe going on just didn’t work for me to the point where I considered DNFing.

I liked some small aspects of characterisation and would have enjoyed this more if I knew I wasn’t about to read a thriller in the slightest, but because of that misleading start I was hugely let down.
