Screaming. I know that this is a book that would be unappealing to many, as it's essentially a chick-lit book written in Victorian England. But between likeable characters, a romantic tension between multiple parties (admittedly I didn't like the love-triangle as much), and protection between friends--romantically involved or not--I was obsessed from start to finish. My only qualm is the fact that now I must get book two somehow because the ending was NOT enough for me to just sit here and wait patiently for whenever I can get my hands on that. AGH. Definitely one of my new faves. So glad I got to do this one for a school project.

No actual curse words, just brief mentions of "she cursed," etc. There's not even made up swear words in this.
