I adored this book. Mark is incredulously funny in the face of danger and high risk - also so ingenious!

Probably the most fun science fiction book I've read, even when reading about potato farming (maybe especially when reading his farming experiences).

While I was happy reading Mark's narration of the many ways Mars was trying to kill him, the story didn't falter when it switched an Earth-side narrative.
