A great ending to a great trilogy. There were bits in this that I found comically stupid but King himself poked fun at his own naming conventions so, not sure what to think about that lmao. I dig the supernatural stuff, it was teased in the last book so it didn't come out of nowhere, and I thought the set up was really interesting. Looking forward to the rest of the Holly books... after a bit of a King break. :P

RIP Hodges
๐Ÿ˜ญ

This was a tidy, if suicide-heavy, end to the Hodges (and Brady) trilogy. I wish the telekinesis aspect had been explored a little more... Like... He could do it with the devices but also without them? There also weren't as many cop/crime details, which is fine w me honestly, but I guess having read The Outsider first, I was hoping for some exploration of how they figured out whodunnit. Not Bill Hodges' problem, I guess he was more focused on revenge ๐Ÿ˜‚

Oh well, looking forward to moving on to more of Holly's adventures!

I donโ€™t know how Steven King is able to write a detective trilogy where we as the reader know everything that is happening, but are still completely intrigued as the detective is finding it out. I thought this was a great ending to a wonderful horror trilogy.

Honestly this trilogy has started a new obsession with Steven King and now I have plans to read everything he has written.

Overall it was a well-written story and a decent conclusion to the trilogy. It was unexpectedly a little sci-fi which I didn't buy. The weakest of the 3 books. Felt odd that the 1st and 3rd focus on Brady but the 2nd was mostly different people. Like oh, we're going back to this guy? OK.

<SPOILERS>
Not only was it unbelievable that Brady's gun shot was stopped by a bunch of stuff in Freddie's breast pocket but you're telling me she could fit all that stuff in her breast pocket?! That's one hell of a pocket capacity!
