This one was a bit more fast paced than the previous entry but still felt just as average as the others in the series. I had assumed that this was designed as a trilogy, so I was surprised at the lack of closure at the ending. I don't think this series needs to continue any longer, but I would like to know how it ends.

Schade, dass es keine weiteren Teile geben wird... auch wenn mir persönlich Teil 2 am besten gefallen hat. Hier passiert nicht sooo viel, aber trotzdem eine unterhaltsame Geschichte.

I was tempted to give this two stars. What saved it a star was the sweet ending and overall lesson. Most of the story felt like it was just an attempt to keep the franchise going.

This was by far the best screenplay so far. I really enjoyed the sketches and set renderings and the excerpts from the cast. I hope they continue this format for the rest of the movies!

Disclaimer: I bought this book second hand in order not to support Rowling financially. Her stance on people who are trans is appalling.
I guess we can all agree that the Fantastic Beasts series is a hot mess. There are too many inaccuracies not only concerning Rowling's Wizarding World in general but also the series in particular (Queenie's character is extremely inconsistent for example). Too many actors have had too many scandals. And the overuse of CGI made the films look a lot less magical than the Harry Potter ones. But "The Secrets of Dumbleodre" was a step in the right direction and it could have set up a satisfying ending. Yes, a lot of details didn't make sense (yet?) in regards to what we know from the original HP seires. But I think that everything might have come together nicely in the last film/s.
Even the screenplay is more engaging this time around. You're not only given the text but also insight from the actors, location renderings and character sketches. Again no extra scenes, though. It's a nice read if you're a collector/completionist but otherwise you could just skip it.
