Surprisingly, I have never read a book by Anne-Marie Meyer and I was intrigued by a love story between a single mother in a wheelchair and a wealthy real estate broker.

She can do this. Blossom loves life at the Christmas Inn and she is excited and terrified to be left in charge when her brother and sister-in-law go on their honeymoon. She doesn’t want to rely on the help of others as she deals with the challenges of being in a wheelchair and being the mother of a rambunctious six-year-old boy so she jumped at the chance to prove her worth and manage the inn. However, she wasn’t prepared for the handsome and helpful Carter Bronson who showed up unexpectedly after his car broke down during a business trip.

Carter Bronson is tired of his fast-paced life in New York and when he arrives at the Christmas Inn, the worries and stress just disappear. It doesn’t hurt that he enjoys the company of the beautiful manager and her very active son.

Blossom and Carter’s attraction is immediate, but they ease their way through challenges and breaking down walls to become an extraordinary couple. Blossom's lack of self-confidence and getting past her disability is to be expected especially after her douche of a husband left her after the accident, but Carter’s kindness and patience are exactly what she needs. Carter is a fantastic and caring man who does little things to make Blossom's life easier. I love the interactions between Carter and Blossom's son Isaac and how much Carter enjoys Isaac’s company. I also teared up when Blossum’s sister-in-law Holly finally made Blossom realize that she is not her wheelchair and to take a chance on happiness, not loneliness.

Despite the repetitive use of words such as soaring and mysterious, I really enjoyed this unique and sweet small-town romance filled with heartwarming characters, a relaxing location, and a beautiful love story.
