An accurate telling of the Genesis story, with illustrations that are bold, clear, and artful. A great way to share the story with children.

There are some useful notes at the back, giving context to the story’s role in the history of the Hebrew people. The authors errs in assuming that the biblical story is a myth that imperfectly remembers an ancient local flood; we have an overwhelming abundance of evidence for a single Global Flood, remembered by cultures all over the world. But even with that caveat, that the reader should be informed about the historical truth of the biblical Flood, this is an excellent book. Both for how it presents the story and for the smart questions it prompts readers to ask. Some great family discussions could result from this book.
