This was very short and very straightforward. There was no real tension or conflict, just the two ex stepbrothers meeting and getting together.
It was nice enough though.

This was unpleasant. I did not enjoy this primarily due to the unlikeable characters and the claustrophobic setting. How could such a perfect holiday setup go so terribly wrong -- well it did and does in this. Each character seems to be comprised of an oddly irritating combination of immature, arrogant and boorishly dull in different measures. Regret reading this one for sure ...

Cole has a fall and has put his former short lived stepbrother as his emergency contact. When Daniel gets the call, he doesn’t recognize who it is, but cares enough to take on the responsibility of looking after Cole.
He takes him to his vacation spot, where he’s trying to like a guy who’s been chasing him. Turns out the guy is an idiot, and too many people end up at the chalet. After getting rid of them, the undeniable feelings they both have lead to the start of a lovely relationship.
A bit too short of a story, but nice and light.

Afternoon read.
This is a nice quick afternoon read. Forced responsibility saves the holiday. A few new friends and a thank god I found out in time to lose the loser.

Loved this one too! This is my 3rd Keira Andrews novel in as many days and I’m obsessed.
This was a sweet take on a very loose “stepbrother” trope (they were stepbrothers 10 years ago for a very brief time period, it’s not really a thing at all). Insta-lovey and fun, hurt/comfort, only one bed. I adored this quick and steamy holiday novella!

Daniel Diaz is a neat and orderly workaholic. He's just gearing up for a snowy mountain getaway when he gets a call from the ER telling him someone named Cole Smith has been injured and Daniel is listed as his emergency contact. It takes Daniel a while to remember that Cole is his former step-brother. It takes even longer for Daniel to realize that Cole had a crush on him for the brief time they knew each other when they were younger. But as he takes concussed and injured Cole along on his mountain getaway, the two discover all sorts of things about each other.
