HELL YES!! Magnificient book with sexy times, a protagonist that doesn't trust easily, role-playing and absurd drama. A guy with issues who makes women fall in love with him as a job - though the plot could have been handled a lot better, it's hot and steamy and ultimately interesting to read because it has some originality to it.

I have to say that I wasn't expecting I got much going in, I just needed a new book to start because I needed a change of pace. Most of the new adult books I've read by authors I haven't yet tried this year have been rather disappointing, but this was definitely one of the better NA novels I've read (not quite sure if this counts as New Adult, it that's what I'm going with here). The concept is quite interesting, not necessarily unique but it does stand out more than others within the NA genre. The characters are quite well fleshed out, but it is a rather limited cast, and I wouldn't have minded seeing more side characters and earning about their stories, but that might be expanded upon in consequent books.

The storyline is relatively predictable and plot twists can be easily guessed if you've read enough of these books but usually a reader doesn't go into this kind of novel looking for Agatha Christie worthy plot twists. The angst and tension was okay, not the best I've read because it did feel little forced and I wanted a little more from it. Max does start off as a jerk in the beginning but his character does undergo a rather smooth transition through the novel, better than many novels I've encountered. I will say though that when he gushes about the romance of his profession, it does seem a little more overtly feminine than one might expect, but it may just be me. For an NA novel, the writing style is also pleasantly, surprisingly more sophisticated from most other books I've read in this genre.

Overall, a fun NA novel, slightly different than the usual romance books, and definitely worth a try if you're interested in this kind of premise.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. I've read other books about escorts but they don't even compare to this one. There was so much chemistry and just enough angst in this story. Two people whose career future's depend on the other one failing present quite the predicament. Eden is on a mission to expose Mister Romance to save her journalism job. Max is trying to prove that he provides a valuable legitimate service. Max is completely swoonworthy! There is no way that you won't fall in love with him. Eden is a strong, independent heroine. I loved how completely unpredictable this story was.

I became a huge fangirl of this author since Maldito Romeo which is the book I read and fell in love with her work and the only book that has been translated to Spanish ( just as an extra point, until this day we still have no news about the second part even after 2 years since it was published). Since then, I have been reading her books, and every one of them just keeps me wondering what will be next or what story is going to be my favorite, well, Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet are going to be very special to me because the characters from the book are the first ones I read about, but Wicked Heart came pretty close to move my favorite couple from my ranking, Liam and Elisa are so cute that it is impossible not to be in love with them. Now she just introduced us to this sexy and charming guy. He is all in one, because he can either play a sexy Irish or a rockstar and I can keep going with all his characters but those you have to discovered yourself. Max is a honest man, he doesn't hide what he does for living, but Eden is skeptical and has her own opinion and wants to prove she's right, not only because if she proves that, her career as journalists will jump and move her to a better position, but also because she doesn’t want to admit that she is starting to feel things for him and accepting those feelings is something she's not ready for. One thing I love about Eden is the relationship with her family, Nan was my favorite, I love her and how she pushed Eden to Max. So please give a chance to Max and all his charming, sexy mind and body.

As my first book by Leisa Rayven, I fell in love with the wit and banter she created especially between Max and Eden. I laughed and swooned with every page as I read through this one. I really enjoyed the concept of this story. It keeps you on your toes but flows perfectly together!
I think what really got me with this story is that Eden is so cynical yet Max opens her eyes to something more. I really loved the start of the story. Without giving any spoilers, let’s just say Max is a jack of all personas and left me giggling.
Overall, the passion, chemistry and laughs in this story makes it one to pick up. I honestly could not put it down! The character build was on point as well as side characters, the storyline build and everything. I am a serious fan now of Rayven and cannot wait to read more by her!

5 stars.

I think it is important to note that the book is aware of the cringe-nature of the book's title. I am genuinely a deep fan of this book. Love.
