oh oh oh I finished King by Michelle Valentine and holy hell it was hot... I absolutely love Michelle's writing and this book just reminded me why... sizzle! The sexual tension... the explosion! YOWZA I loved it!! I really wish #2 was ready and then I'll wish that #3 was ready. I'm in love with this series, Michelle!

If you enjoyed The Hangover, than NAUGHTY KING is going to be a book that you truly enjoy. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas and changes everything.
Alexander King is an ass, but his drive to be the best and to keep his father's business at the top requires him to be that way. He's sexy as hell, knows it, but can't commit to anything with a woman longer than it takes for him to get him off and collect her paycheck. Not really a guy you'd be falling all over, but the author makes it work.
Margo Buchanan is his new assistant. A ploy in King's latest takeover scheme to make sure the man who's business he is taking over behaves. But there is so much more to Margo and she's a woman willing to do what it takes to help save her father's failing business. She's a likable character and there is more to her than some fancy window dressing.
I didn't want Margo to fall for a-hole Alexander...no matter how good looking he was. But an over-the-top client/bff to Alexander makes that virtually impossible. We discover there's more behind Alexander's a-hole exterior. Of course, we discover that almost at the end of the novella, but it's enough of a hook to have me interested in what happens next. Yamata, Alexander's client/bff, was over the top and way too similar to Mr. Chow from the Hangover, but he plays a role in getting our hero and heroine together. For that, I can look the other way and wait for FIESTY PRINCESS.

From the opening scene where he forces Margo to watch him use an escort to the end scene......Alexander King is a force to be reckoned with. Would I read on? Yes. The cliffhanger ending did pique my curiosity. The only thing I didn't like was Alexander blowing hot then cold. Overall entertainment was three and a half stars.

The characters were 2d and unlikable. The development of the relationship between the characters was non-existent, maybe if the book was longer it could've been developed?
The plot was boring, predictable and the ending doesn't make me want to pick up the next installment.

I wasn't expecting the book to have to many funny moments, so if was a very good surprise. This was many first book by Michelle and I loved if. There's so much heat coming off the MC's it's amazing. I really enjoyed it. On to book 2
