Totally agree with what is said and in a way i loved it. And then sometimes I didn’t. It helped and it didn’t. I was looking for something else. Anyway, I’m very glad I read it.

This is the most difficult book to rate. This was one of my most highlighted reads and the nuggets that were good were like, 6 star level good!! But so much of the book was dry and repetitive that I found myself dreading picking it back up. I couldn't DNF it bc the golden nuggets were just so valuable and there are not enough books about this topic so it feels extra rare and special. Worth reading for sure but you'll probably need to take your time if you're anything like me.

I found this book fairly interesting but the final chapter, on non-binary thinking seemed a bit wishy-washy.

kinda hard to rate it so i'll just not do it. i rushed the end, because it was becoming too confusing for me. there were some good points but idk i don't feel like i've learned anything new and some commentary made me go "???"

also the translation is very tricky, i though it was about non binary in the gender with and historical and universal approch, but it's more the concept of binary and non binary in different aspect of life.

Really introspective book on a number of topics, not just non-binary ways of thinking gender and sexuality, but thinking in general: success/failure binaries, good/bad binaries, etc. It gave a lot of food for thought and was written in a way that wasn't too academically overwhelming and was accessible. Being non-binary myself, and bisexual, this was a great read, and has left me thinking a lot about the way I think about the world as a whole, and myself, not just in relation to gender, sexuality, but my whole self.
