Amazing plot, fantastic character development, and a killer cliffhanger!

An enjoyable read. This book knows what it’s about. It didn’t necessarily speak to me super deeply, I wish it did, but I can say if you’re after a fun fantasy action piece then this will give that to you.

What a great book! It's reminiscent of Tamora Pierce's Alanna the Lioness books. Slow burn, strong FMC. The character and world building are good. The story is realistic in a fantasy world. Overall very enjoyable.

My attention span is so short I can't read physical books in one sitting anymore, but that's exactly what I did with this one. The way it was able to hold my attention for so long is magic.

The author is/was a midwife and it was so interesting how she made an mc who viewed the world through the lens of that, because the mc was not just a midwife, she had magic connected to midwifery. And even I, who hate pregnancy and don't like infants was captivated and it softened me a little bit towards this topic.

I liked the world, the cute animal companion and even the plot. The structure of the story is what we can expect from a ya/na fantasy, but the execution, the worldbuilding and the culture was so unique.

I can't wait to also read the next series, because that's about the sister of the mc who is in an academy in a forest I think and she is an archer. And archer girls are my favorite.

I have not devoured a series like this since ACOTAR. I finished the first and second books yesterday, and I’m going to finish the third today. So deeply excited for this author and this series!!

Such an amazing read! I was honored to be chosen as an ARC reader and this was definitely one of my favorite books of the year!

The warrior midwife it’s a fast paced, beautifully written book. Full of adventure, magic and compelling characters. I loved this book so much!

But that ending though? Oh god, that made gasp! The cliffhanger was painful (but I loved ❤️).

Sooooooooooo fckn good. This was way different that a lot of my other books and so much fun. Loved the story, loved the very teeny tiny glimpses of romance that I’m sure will blossom into something amazing. I can’t wait!!
