This book is so much better than book 1. The tension was perfect, loved the romance, and I didn’t ever get bored with the plot like I did book 1.
Two problems I had:
1. Fallon definitely still has her moments where I literally want to strangle her because she’s so irritating.
2. I hate how majority of the plot was based on lack of communication ~mainly on Lore - it’s so frustrating as a reader.
I’m so nervous to read book 3

Y'all, this book was sooo good!! I was ToG/ACOTAR obsessed through this whole book, and still am. Immediately bought and started the 3rd book. This one as surprisingly SPICY.

It's just so difficult to focus on anything but the big picture because these books are so unnecessary long. I love the story, but way too many details at every single step.

Also, I think it's very similar to the character arc in ACOTAR, the main goal being character development, but unfortunately everyone everyone gets their improvements, but Fallon. She stays utterly naive throughout the whole thing and the whole concept of her being the future queen of Luce feels like someone is just handing her the crown and that's that. I thought this is just how the story starts, but then she gets stronger/smarter, but nope. She doesn't even try to unlock her magic or take self defence classes or even try not to follow everyone blindly just because they're 'family'.

Wow! I rated the first one a 2.5 because the writing sucked, I disliked how childish the main character was but thought there was something special about the plot. Here I am rating this sequel a 5.0!! Omg the improvement was phenomenal ! Glad I stuck around for the plot ! The writing improved sooo much it was like night and day ! Way to go. Can’t wait for April so I can read the third book !
