There are some nice storys in the book, but none of them is a reason to buy it. Furthermoere most storys live from there athmosphere alone... no ideas, no plot.
...the only story that I can recommand out of this book is "Declaraton"... the citicens of a virtual space declare independance from reality. That is the stuff I want to read.

As with any anthology, the quality of stories here is mixed, but there are enough good ones to make it worthwhile. There are several that I wished were full novels, including "Fireborn," "The Lady Astronaut," and "Declaration."

It’s all different authors so a variety of stories. Some are good, some aren’t, some are interesting, some are boring. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

This audio book is a collection of short stories based on famous first lines and introduced by the author. Read by a variety of readers.
The best two stories were fantasy ("Highland Reel" by Jack Campbell) and science fiction ("The Lady Astronaut of Mars" by Mary Robinette Kowal), but the collection in general was not highly sci-fi. Will probably seek out Mary Robinette Kowal to read more of, but unfortunately this collection rates only an "okay".

I'm not a big reviewer, but I thought this one was a really interesting set of short stories. I truly enjoyed listening to each of these, and I'm not usually so enamored of every short story in an anthology -- usually one or two really don't do it for me, but this set was very good. Interesting concept, well done.
That being said, I had some clear favorites:
"The Big Whale" by Allen M. Steele (Yes, it starts with the first line of *Moby Dick*; the twist is great.)
"The Lady Astronaut of Mars" by Mary Robinette Kowal (Heavy references to *The Wizard of Oz*, but the author was trying to go for a Bradbury-esque feel, so kinda oldschool on the scifi, which I enjoyed.)
"Highland Reel" by Jack Campbell (No further description because, spoilers! But it was really good and more fantasy-esque.)

la idea es interesante y algunos cuentos están bien inspirados, pero me aburrieron del primero al tercero y no quise seguir.

I really enjoyed a handful of the stories, but several of them didn't grab my attention. The concept is very intriguing.
