Very Good, a solid wrap up to the series. It falls short, for it drags at times.

Why must it end!!!

Loved it, sad it ended, will read again. Honestly, I'm going to play the games just to get more content.

Ahh so this is it, It's the end of my Witcher journey and let me tell you, I have some thoughts but they're not all bad

Like the previous book, why it was felt like it was necessary to have a particular type of story telling I will never know, a conventional plotline with just a few informative timeline jumps would have benefitted the story so so much. I'm also unsure of why we get introduced to new characters so late, I understand the intentions but it just felt unnecessary for the most part

I think Ciri finally got the attention and the focus she well and truly deserved in this book. The development of her character is very clear and it was satisfying to read about, it's the moment that I've been waiting for throughout the series and this was the real finale for me, regardless of how her story ended. I have mixed feelings on the outcome of some of the other characters, I think some deserved so much better and I have neutral feelings on Geralt and Yennifer's ending, I guess it was semi predictable

I found the first third of this book to be quite a slog, it dragged and it's a shame as this definitely had potential to be an exciting book throughout. The story does pick up after this though and there's some really stand out action scenes that really does transport you into the midst of it all

Overall, it wraps up the loose ends like a good finale should but it's definitely flawed. Either way, these are some of my favourite ever characters that helped me just about forgive some of these flaws

Fairytales have always existed to inspire and teach us magic, wonder, and hope, but a fairytale also exist to disguise with illusions piercing and mournful reality.
Something ends, and something begins with the lady of the lake, where Andrzej has taken us throughout loose ends, and the different perspectives of protagonista, antagonists, and indifferent bystanders, in the birth of Rivia's own fairytale, where censorship, diplomacia, and wishful hope, build line by line, paragraph by paragraph, the Witcher Saga.
