I had to pick this book up several times to actually finish it, persevering through sheer will and the need to know what could possibly happen at the end of this series. Overall, it was really dense with side plot about politics that I didn’t particularly care for. The ending was oddly rushed and anti climactic, but at least Yen and Geralt could be happy. Was upset at the sudden death of literally all the side characters, and poor Dandelion was left without his friends :(

There were things I enjoyed about the Witcher books, mainly the shape humor and the endearing characters, but it got harder to stick with the meandering plot and complicated twists and turns. The short stories stood out the most in terms of qualities. I’m proud to have finished the whole series even if it was a slight struggle, and I’ll check out the last and final short story collection another time, perhaps I need a little break…

The random change of voice and the constant back and forth gave me a headache. I loved the Witcher story but felt like this book was pushed to the finish line without the same energy of the others

Excelente final.
