Fast paced, a bit gory and a truly scary otherworldly villain. The characters were most likeable, except Carl, but I can't say you got to know any of them all that much, but that was OK. I enjoyed the unusual plot and I thought a rather unique solution, certainly one I hadn't read before. Kinda open for a sequel, but I can't see the necessity.

WOW, this book is brutal. I loved it.
This is the first Ryan C. Thomas book I have read, but by the time I reached the 50-page mark, I had already added a stack of his books to my to read pile, it has that same creepy feel that Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell has, but with more carnage and sarcasm.

This was a very standard horror story that has been done many times before. Bunch of kids encounter an entity and have to figure out how to defeat it. This isn't an inherently BAD thing...I think this book was well written and the story was executed well. So if that is what you are looking for...I'd recommend this book. But for me, there's nothing special about this book...nothing that is going to make it memorable for me and it ended up being just ok overall.
