I read this so fast. Mountains, caves, mystery, and more are all in this horror book. It was about 4 friends hiking and attempting to explore caves even after being told not to. They constantly are hearing what sounds like Whispers and want to find the source. I enjoyed it and thought it was a great read.

I loved the dark tourism aspect in this one, and I always thought that was something I would enjoy doing! It was well-written and fast-paced, and brought the claustrophobic horror of an unknown underground cave system. Despite every warning sign, the characters are called to go into the caves, and it takes them to a place you never saw coming! Very creepy, lots of twists, and a unique story. Definitely recommend!

This story starts off with the very cliche, group of old friends meeting up after a long time to go explore some place they probably shouldn’t. Cliche isn’t a bad thing though, a lot of great horror movies start out this way. This book reminds me a lot of IT and The Decent in regard to the group of friends and the underground tunnels. I’m reading it and picturing this amazing horror movie in my mind. The plot is *chef’s kiss. The end reminded me so much of something Stephen King would write. The real world blended seamlessly into a freaky and morbid sci-fi world. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend to the right readers.

So, this review will not in my typical fashion as trying to pair a playlist to this book is near impossible lol

However, with that being said...wow! Just. wow. I absolutely loved this ENTIRE book. It was twisty, captivating and the characters were someone I didn't grow overly attached to and absolutely didn't mind seeing...we'll, you'll see ;)

Would I recommend this book?? HELL YES I would!

I didn't think I was gonna like this book as much as I did, but it ended up exceeding my expectations in many ways. At first the characters come across as a bit whiny, but by the time we reach the mountain they get better. Once inside the terror begins to mount, especially as someone with a bit of claustrophobia. The twist with the "monster" was not one I was expecting. I thoroughly enjoyed it and the ending was very satisfying, I would definitely love to see a sequel showing the next seed taking root.

This wasn't particularly my type of horror. However I did think it was well written and I definitely wasn't expecting the end. One of those endings when you aren't sure what you just read. (In a good way)

I did feel like certain parts felt more dragged on then they needed to be and I never really had the creepy scared feeling I like when reading horror. I will say though that I definitely think this book could give people that feeling if you find the situation the characters were in scary.

Overall I give this was 3.5 stars and while it wasn't for me I would recommend others to give it a try because it could definitely be for you!
