Just invested enough to finish, but never fully connected to the characters.

the second book was so strong and then this one just didnt hold my attention :( i thought Flo's storyline really fell flat for me especially the romance that took place completely off screen. give me the same level of angst that Cvareh + Arianna have. AGH.

A thrilling conclusion to the Loom Saga! All of the political machinations, intrigue, and plotting come to an explosive ending, both in Nova and on Loom. It's fast paced and exciting with plenty of twists and turns. Great, underrated series!

I looooooove this series. Every single book was just pure perfection and I rarely say that but I wish there were another 500 pages to dive in more into some topics and some relationships. This book was just too quick!

I wanted way more of Coletta scheming and more of the relationship dynamics between Coletta and Yveun. Their relationship was just so interesting and different from what we usually get in fantasy books. The fact that we have their POV really helped to draw a layered portrait of their aspirations and motivations and honestly I was almost not rooting for our MCs when I would see Coletta and Yveun interact. I understood their goals and desires and I was almost convinced that they weren’t any wrong.

I needed more of Cva and Ari on paper. They should have had even more time together because Cva is simply the cutest and I needed more of that on page.

I could have read way more pages around the new Commander lady, I felt like she was underutilised after getting introduced in book 2.

The only part I don’t think we need any more of is Florence in Loom… The only part I don’t think we need any more of is Florence in Loom… She’s ok and it’s good to see the whole rebellion taking shape but I didn’t quite take to her character, so I feel like we had just the right amount of her POV. I don’t think her part was boring or unnecessary by any mean but I just loved so much more all the other POVs that it created a bit of a gap in between the characters I’m obsessed with and her.

Overall, I wanted more of most characters and relationships but not because it wasn’t enough but because I loved it so much and didn’t want it to end! I would gladly read a prequel of how Coletta and Yveun got together and started ruling. Elise Kova, if you hear me, please write a prequel ‘origin story’, we need more of Coletta and Yveun 🙏🏻

To be comepletely honest this is a really hard one to write a review for. Mostly, due to incredibly personal and diffiucult occurances in my personal life happening concurently. It made it very hard to pay attention. However, I do think there are some jarring unspoken except in passing time skips. Not big ones, but a month or two here and there, which I either missed or were truly left unspoken until it mattered logistically in order to progress the story that time had passed. I found the characters hard to care about in this final installment. The story moves SO FAST. I dont think anything except the plot really mattered no matter what choices characters made to drive it.

I felt it'll be better if i gave a complete review after listening to the series completely because after the second book i was like "okay it's neither here nor there". This trend kinda of continues in the third book. I felt like they description of charac ers  and worlds wasn't immersive enough to really make me care about what happened to them. It's like someone decided to cut a five part book series to a three part and only informed the author after the first book was published. A lot of stuff happened so quickly, I was like "oh this happened? Ah well i guess it did". The first book is definitely the best out of the series.

What an ending. I'm so sad it's over, but I felt it had good closure. I love that we got to see how Florence blossoms. I'm so happy she found her voice and brought everyone together for the betterment of Loom. Ari seemed to slowly disconnect and disappear in this book despite her being in the fighting scenes. She seemed so resigned go what happened afterwards and wouldn't listen. I love that Cvareh showed up and did everything he did. The ending was everything I wanted it to be. Colletta is the worst. I liked that in a way, there were 2 villians in this story.

Highly recommend.
