I can honestly say that this is one of the best flash fiction horror books that I've ever read. Maybe it was just my mood. Sometimes my attention span isn't what it should be, so these short reads were perfect for my scattered mindset.
The very first story set the tone for the entire book. It was one of the shorter stories in the book, and at first it was just MEH> Until the ending. The ending of that first story blew my mind. Then it was clear that this author would have a few tricks up their sleeve and want to give the reader whiplash. I loved every minute of this book

I didn't know that there was such a thing as flash fiction until I met the author at an author fair at which I was sharing my own books. So this is my first read of these brief stories that range around a thousand words. Allison's stories are dark and at times a bit creepy, however, she demonstrates an ability to write in a way that catches your eye and leaves you wanting to know more, which is the purpose of such works of fiction. I look forward to that novel that's waiting to get out.
