One of my favorite settings in FR history and great research for a supplement I'm continuing to write. Highly recommended if you like Magitech empires and wizardly hubris, or if you just want to play unbalanced spellcasters without limits.

This is a true forgotten realm in the Forgotten Realms setting! An amazing "historical" setting, it depicts the mighty Netheril empire (and it IS mighty by the standards of common fantasy worlds) in huge detail. Of course the magic chapter is the meat and juice of the book, and it delivers the secrets of the most powerful magic in D&D. The section about religion is incredibly well written and detailed. The diagramation is very well done compared to other books of the setting. And of course, I'm going to introduce it to my players!
