Great time travel story. It was a little slow at parts, and but the end was fast and not what I expected. I have a lot of unanswered questions, but HEY! Looks like there's a sequel (or more!). I'll have to look for those.

Debated rating this four stars, mostly for the fun of reading about New York City in the 1880s. The writing was kind of clunky, there were a few plot points that seemed sketchy to me (I’m not talking about the time-travel part, of course, but parts that were supposed to be logical or realistic), and the plot dragged a bit. I liked the ending, though.

Read Algernon (Darth Anyan)’s review. I agree with most of what he says, but he said it better. (His review does contain spoilers, though—so it’s hidden).

The perfect time traveling story. The concept of the travel itself is so simple and refreshing compared to the complicated futuristic machines you typically see in this genre. The narrator was very engaging and it felt as if you were listening to someone tell you their story. Perfect ending.

In the afterwords of "11/22/63", Stephen King describes "Time and Again" as the seminal time travel book, and his inspiration for "11/22/63". So, of course I had to read it. When I was in school, I never got better than a D+ on all those "compare and contrast" assignments English teachers love, so I won't try it here, but there are a lot of parallels (but far from plagiarism) between the two books. Both involve the romance between a male time traveler and a female resident of the previous time. Both explore the danger of changing things in the past. Both explore the validity of nostalgia. I think I prefer "Time and Again", but I suspect it's only because it was so much shorter!

Engrossing novel about time travel! I was wrapped up in Sy's adventures through time. The ending was absolute perfection

I love time travel stories and this is one of the best! Terrific tale and some interesting history. And this is one book where I absolutely adored the ending. I am more than occasionally disappointed by books’ endings, but this one was perfect.
