J.C. Walsh's DEATH HIGHWAY is a 500mph fever dream. This tale blends cosmic horrors with muscle car street racing that produces a smog of crazy that can only come from the twisted mind of J.C. Walsh. Forget the seat belts, you're gonna crash and die!
This is the writer's rookie effort and it shows in its rough-around-the-edges storytelling. Whatever the story may lack in nuance it makes up for in spades with heart and imagination. The story is funny car top fueled madness injected with crazy imaginative worlds and the beasts the live within.
There is a lot of good world building and character arcs packed into the tight corners. If you just floor it you can draft this other-worldly story to the end.
If I could pack any more race innuendo into this review I would but I'm red lining. I'm slamming it into fifth and pulling out onto the Red Plane
See ya out on the ragin' slab Bring your pinks, Walsh is writing for keeps.
