Story and characters are front and center, as always with Kazu, and that makes for a wonderful read

A lovely little graphic novel - the art is pretty, the pacing deliberate. Daisy is delightfully cantankerous.

Daisy Kutter is a snapshot of a cowgirl who will remind many, in a good way, of a character from Firefly. I really enjoyed this quick read. Many are probably familiar with him from the popular children's comic book series Amulet published by Scholastic, and he has a little more emotional and thematic meat to work with in this story oriented towards adults. Kazu Kibuishi's tells stories amazingly, and although the story is a simple one, Kibuishi manages to give it an emotional punch through the strength of his visual storytelling and expressive art.

I still love the art, but the story isn't as solid as I remember.

It's a good story and I like the art. More importantly, it taught me the basics of Texas Hold'em and I was able to clean out the bank first try (beginner's luck, of course).

Great graphic novel with a gutsy heroine; fun mix of Wild West and robots, good guys who are reformed bad guys. I love this style of drawing, too, reminds me a lot of Doug Tenappel's work.

Super cute story, though not as awesome as his later works like Amulet.
